Getting lost, properly: the souks with a guide

Three hours in the souks

The souks begin almost at our door. They are easier to love with someone who knows them, so we work with two licensed medina guides who walk at your pace and take no commission from any shop.

  • The souk des teinturiers, where wool hangs drying in colour
  • The metalworkers’ lanes, where our lanterns were made
  • The Ben Youssef Medersa and the old tanneries
  • Rahba Kedima, the spice square, for saffron and ras el hanout

Walks leave at nine or at four, when the light is kind. Ask us the day before.
