The room
The principal rooms of the original house, restored as one suite across the first-floor gallery. A salon under a carved and painted cedar ceiling, with a fireplace and a long banquette, opens to a main bedroom with a king bed and a second room with two singles for children or friends.
The bathroom is a small hammam of its own: a heated tadelakt bench, a stone basin and a brass tap for the bucket rinse, with a freestanding bath beside it. Breakfast can be laid in the salon, and the suite has the best view in the house of the courtyard lanterns at night.
For families, two couples travelling together, or anyone who wants the riad at its most generous.
