A bedroom and a private salon with an open fireplace, in the deep reds and carved plaster of old Fès.
Named for the merchant houses of Fès, these two suites are the warmest rooms in the riad, in every sense. A carved-plaster arch divides a bedroom from a private salon with low banquettes, kilim cushions and an open fireplace that the house lights at dusk from November to March. The king bed is framed by a hand-carved headboard; the bathroom has a freestanding stone bath and a separate shower in rose tadelakt. The salon becomes a third bed for a child on request. A suite for long stays and slow evenings: a fire, a pot of mint tea, and a book from the house library.
Free cancellation until 72 hours before arrival. After that, or if you do not arrive, the first night is charged.
